To integrate Australia Post eParcel with the ShipX app, you’ll need the following credentials:
- Username
- Secret Key (API Key)
- Account Number
Follow the steps below to register for eParcel, obtain your credentials, and connect your account with ShipX.
How to connect Australia Post eParcel with ShipX
Step 1: Complete the Registration Form
- Navigate to the Australia Post eParcel Registration Page.
- Provide all required business and contact details on the registration form, including:
- Business name and ABN
- Business address and telephone number
- Primary contact name and email address
- Billing and delivery origin details (if requested)
- Verify that all information is accurate before submitting.
- After completing the registration form, click Submit.
You should see an on-screen confirmation that your registration request has been received.
Step 2: Validate your account and request API credentials
- Check your inbox for a verification email from Australia Post.
- Open the email and click the verification link to validate your account.
- Once your email is verified, contact the Australia Post eParcel Support Team to request your integration credentials.
- Use the Australia Post eParcel Contact Link provided in your dashboard.
- When contacting them, request the following:
- Username
- Secret Key (API Key or Shared Secret)
- Account Number
Note: Be ready to provide your business details and any reference number from your registration confirmation email.
- After processing your request, Australia Post will share your Username, Secret Key, and Account Number.
- Record them exactly as provided and store your Secret Key securely.
How to sync Australia Post - eParcel with ShipX
Follow the steps below to connect your Australia Post - eParcel account and fetch live carrier rates in ShipX.
1. Go to Rates and click View on Scenarios.
2. Select the scenario where you want to add Australia Post - eParcel rates.
3. Under shipping rates, click Add shipping rate on the preferred shipping zone.

4. Select Live carriers as your rate type.

5. Enter a name for your shipping rate.
6. Choose Australia Post - eParcel as your live carrier and click Sync.
7. Enter your Australia Post - eParcel credentials:
- User name
- Secret key
- Account number
After entering the details, click Save.
8. Under shipping location, choose Use Shopify location, or Specify different location.
9. Under service by carrier, select how you want to display services:
- Show all services
- Show service with highest rate
- Show service with lowest rate
10. Select the services you want to offer from Australia Post eParcel.
11. Choose your packaging method:

- Pack by cart attributes: Create packages based on weight, volume, quantity, or total value.
- Pack each product separately: Every product is packed individually.
- AI-based packaging algorithm: Automatically finds the most efficient box combination using item dimensions and weights.
12. If you selected Pack by cart attributes or AI-based packaging algorithm, click Add package to add your packaging boxes.
13. Enter your package details:
- Package name
- Package max limit
- Package dimensions (Length x Width x Height)
- Empty box weight
Click Add package or Add.
Note: For AI-based packaging algorithm, enter the inner and outer dimensions of packages to calculate the shipping rates.
14. Set a fallback rate to prevent shipping losses if the carrier fails to fetch a live rate.

15. Click Save to complete the setup.
