Shipping zones define the geographical regions where specific shipping rates will apply.
During checkout, when a customer enters their shipping address, ShipX automatically detects the corresponding shipping zone and displays the shipping rates configured for that zone as available options.
Step 1: Create a Market in Shopify
Before adding shipping zones, you need to create a Market and include all the countries you ship to.
- From your Shopify Admin, go to “Markets” page.
- Click “Create Market” button.
- Add the countries you ship to and activate them.
Once your countries are added and active, you can proceed to create shipping zones.
Step 2: Add a Shipping Zone
- From your Shopify Admin, go to Settings > Shipping and Delivery.
- In the Shipping section, select the shipping profile where you want to add zones.
- Next to the location group where you want to add a zone, click “Add shipping zone” button.
- Enter a name for the shipping zone.
- Select the countries or regions you want to include.
- Click “Done” to save the shipping zone.
Step 3: Sync Shipping Zones in ShipX
After creating your shipping zones in Shopify, you must sync them with ShipX to ensure accurate rate calculations.

- Go to the “Settings” section in the ShipX app.
- Click the “Sync settings” option.
- Then, click “Sync shipping zones” to import your newly created zones.
Once synced, ShipX will start applying the appropriate shipping rates set for each zone at checkout.
