How to add shipping rates based on volume or volumetric weight

You can use cart volume or volumetric weight to calculate shipping rates in the app. To enable this, ensure all products have dimensions (length, width, and height) entered in Shopify.

ℹ️

Note: If you need help adding dimensions to your products, check the guide linked in your dashboard.

Understanding Volumetric Weight

Volumetric Weight is calculated using this formula:

Volumetric Weight = (Length × Width × Height) / Dimensional Factor

The default dimensional factor is 5000.

  • You can modify this value under: Settings > Basic app setup > Volumetric dimensional factor
