You can use cart volume or volumetric weight to calculate shipping rates in the app. To enable this, ensure all products have dimensions (length, width, and height) entered in Shopify.

Understanding Volumetric Weight
Volumetric Weight is calculated using this formula:
Volumetric Weight = (Length × Width × Height) / Dimensional FactorThe default dimensional factor is 5000.
- You can modify this value under: Settings > Basic app setup > Volumetric dimensional factor

Steps to Set Rates Based on Volume or Volumetric Weight
- Go to the “Rates” section in the app.

- Click “View” on Scenarios.
- Select “Create scenario” and give your scenario a name.

- Click “Add condition” to set your volume or volumetric rules: Cart > Volume > Less than or equal to > 3000 in³

This ensures the rate applies only when the total cart volume meets the condition.
- Scroll down and click “Add shipping rate” next to the desired shipping zone.

- Enter a rate name (e.g., Standard Shipping).
- Under Criteria, select Cart > Volume, then click the “Add tiered rate” button.
- 0 - 1000 in³ → $10
- 1000.01 - 2000 in³ → $15
- 2000.01 - 3000 in³ → $20

Example tiers:

Once you add the rates, click the “Add” button.
- To create rates based on Volumetric Weight, follow the same steps but:
- Select Volumetric Weight as the scenario condition.
- Also choose Volumetric Weight as the rate calculation criteria.
