The Cart-Based Delivery Customization feature allows you to control how shipping methods are displayed to customers based on the contents of their shopping cart.
By creating rules using cart-related conditions, you can show, hide, rename, or reorder shipping methods during checkout.
This enables you to offer the most appropriate delivery options based on the customer’s order details, improving both the checkout experience and your shipping strategy.
The following cart-based conditions are supported:
- Cart Total
- Cart Subtotal
- Cart Discount
- Cart Quantity
- Cart Weight
- Cart Zip Code

Cart Total
The Cart Total condition allows you to customize shipping methods based on the final total value of the customer’s cart.
This feature helps you apply different delivery options based on the customer's order value.
Example
- Orders with a cart total greater than $50 → Display Free Delivery and Express Delivery.
- Orders with a cart total less than $50 → Hide Free Delivery and display Standard Delivery only.
This helps encourage customers to increase their order value while ensuring appropriate shipping methods are displayed.
Cart Subtotal
The Cart Subtotal condition allows you to customize shipping methods based on the cart value before discounts are applied.
This feature helps you apply different delivery options based on the customer's order value rather than the discounted total.
Example
- Cart subtotal above $100 → Display Free Delivery.
- Cart subtotal below $100 → Display Standard Delivery only.
Cart Discount
The Cart Discount condition allows you to customize shipping methods based on the discount applied to the customer's cart.
This condition is useful when you want to offer or restrict certain delivery methods depending on promotional discounts.
Example
- Discount amount greater than $20 → Hide Free Delivery.
- No discount applied → Display all available delivery methods.
Cart Quantity
The Cart Quantity condition allows you to customize shipping methods based on the total number of items in the customer's cart.
This is particularly useful for stores that offer different shipping options for small, medium, or bulk orders.
Example
- 1–3 items → Display Standard Delivery.
- 4–6 items → Display Bulk Delivery.
- More than 6 items → Hide Express Delivery and display Freight Delivery.
This ensures customers are presented with shipping methods that best suit the size of their order.
Cart Weight
The Cart Weight condition allows you to customize shipping methods based on the combined weight of all items in the customer's cart.
This helps ensure that suitable delivery methods are offered for lightweight, medium-weight, and heavy shipments.
Example
- 0–2 kg → Display Standard Delivery.
- 2–5 kg → Display Courier Delivery.
- Above 5 kg → Hide Standard Delivery and display Heavy Freight Delivery.
This ensures that customers are only shown shipping methods that are appropriate for the weight of their order.
Cart Zip Code
The Cart Zip Code condition allows you to customize shipping methods based on the customer's delivery postal code or ZIP code.
This is useful for enabling or restricting shipping methods for specific serviceable regions or delivery zones.
Example
- ZIP codes between 10000–19999 → Display Local Delivery.
- ZIP code 90210 → Display Same-Day Delivery.
- All other ZIP codes → Display Standard Delivery only.
This allows you to provide location-specific delivery options and improve shipping accuracy.
By combining these cart-based conditions with Delivery Customization actions such as Show, Hide, Rename, and Reorder, you can create flexible shipping rules that provide a better checkout experience while meeting your business requirements.
